Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a part of mirror from being left unwiped by ensuring a string to be always brought into contact with the surface of the mirror by providing a drive mechanism with a string which is connected to the same position as the surface of the mirror or the surface of a mirror holder in a wiper device which wipes the surface of the mirror with a linear member. CONSTITUTION:When an endless belt 32 is rotated counter-clockwise by rotating a motor and rotating a pulley 31A through a worm, a string 22 whose one end is connected with the endless belt 32 wipes the surface of a mirror 13 by moving with a hole 24 in a mirror holder 14 as a supporting point while being brought into contact with the surface of the mirror 13. At this time, the distance between the hole 24 in the mirror holder 14 and the side surface of the mirror holder 14 changes in the string 22. The string 22 is delivered from a drum 25 which incorporates the spiral spring of a tension mechanism through a guide 28, and is wound around the drum 25 under tension through the guide 28. It is thus possible for the string 22 to be brought into contact with the surface of the mirror 13 for wiping.
