PURPOSE: To make it possible to obtain a predetermined quantity of mixed hot water by a method wherein the temperature of hot water is detected to obtain a heating temperature so that only the amount of heat meeting the required quantity of hot water is applied a heat source.
CONSTITUTION: A temp. sensor 9 detects the temperature of feed water, the heating temperature is calculated on the base of the feed water temperature detected by a temperature operating means 10 so that a predetermined quantity of the mixed hot water of a predetermined temperature is calculated. Then, when the heating temperature is calculated, the heating by a heat generating body 2 is initiated and whether or not the temperature of water in a hot water storage tank 1 reaches the heating temperature is judged from the detecting signal of the temp., sensor 9. In this case, if the heating temperature is judged to have been reached, a heat source control means 11 operates to stop the heating by the heat generating body 2 so that it is possible to reduce heat loss due to the spontaneous discharge of heat from the hot water feeder itself.
