Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the stress concentration and fretting generated at the caulking section between a pipe and a contents material and prolong fatigue life by forming a recess at the location that is opposed to the opening end inner periphery of a rod main body along this inner periphery.
CONSTITUTION: A rod end member 1b is connected to a rod main body 1a by being inserted in the end opening of the rod main body 1a and caulking the end 1c of the rod main body 1a from outside. An annular recess 13 is formed circumferentially at the end of the rod end member 1b at the location that is opposed to the inner periphery 12 of the opening end of the rod main body 1a along the inner periphery 12.
