Abstract:
In a bearing arrangement for a shaft (4) held in two rows (1, 2) of rolling-contact bearings in a housing (3"), one bearing (1) is a fixed bearing. The outer race (5") of the other bearing (2) is held in a housing seat (6) which allows its axial displacement and is under a spring force (8) which gives the bearing arrangement freedom from play in the axial direction. The outer race is fixed in this position in the housing seat by bonding. In order to be able to use a pasty adhesive, an annular space (17) forming the bonding zone is provided between the mutually contacting faces of the outer race and the housing and this space has subspaces (17a and 17c) at its axial ends of larger clear cross-section than in its central region (17b). Opening into the subspace situated at one end is an introduction opening (18) in the housing for the adhesive. An outlet opening (19) for the adhesive, which opens into the subspace situated at the other axial end, is made in the housing diametrically opposite to the introduction opening.
