PURPOSE: To stabilize the running of an engine as well as to improve its fuel consumption, by making an engine load setting value turn to a value at the high load side in time of engine cooling but to another value at the low load side in time of engine heating, in case of a fuel feed system for engines.
CONSTITUTION: A control unit 15 receives signals out of an air flow sensor 5, an exhaust sensor 8, a water temperature sensor 10, a load detecting device 11, an engine speed sensor 12, etc., and thereby adds an injection pulse to a fuel injection valve 3. At the control unit 15, an engine load setting value is set to a value at the high load side in time of engine cooling but in time of heating, this setting value is set to another value at the low load side. Thus, improvements in stability in the engine running state in time of cooling as well as in fuel consumption in time of heating can be both brought to fruition.
