PURPOSE: To selectively draw out sheet storing means with one select means in a device for drawing out sheet storing means of an electrophotographic copying machine or the like by providing a plurality of support means which can be inclined all together and selectively engaging and disengaging each tray individually.
CONSTITUTION: On operating a tray select switch not shown, a microcomputer conducts processing according to a specified program, so that a tray inclining motor 39 is driven to turn a cam 36. Therefore, the rear support 4b is lifted up according to the shape of the cam 36 to incline trays 2 forward. Engaging solenoids SOL are fixed to each rear end of tray bearing members 5 and engaged with brackets 40 of the trays 2, thereby to keep the trays from moving forward. When an electric current is applied to the solenoid SOL of the required tray 2 according to a command of the microcomputer, the bracket 40 is disengaged from the solenoid to draw out the tray 2 forward. Thus, a required tray can be selectively drawn out.
