PURPOSE: To attain the discrimination between the power fail and a disconnection, etc. by inhibiting the input of an internal reset signal into a controller as long as no command is given from a host computer during output of a power supply break notice signal.
CONSTITUTION: A power supply PS produces a power supply break notice signal anti-(PF)' and an internal reset signal anti-(IRST)'. The signal anti-(IRST)' is processed by an AND circuit G together with an external reset signal anti- (ERST)' given from a host system HS. Therefore the impression f the internal reset signal is inhibited to the controller of a bubble memory system BMS as long as no external command is given from the system HS while the power supply break notice signal is produced. As a result, a disconnection, a defective connection, etc. can be discriminated from the power fail. Thus it is possible to understand clearly the state of a bubble memory at the host side.
