Title:
HEAT SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59107501
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a heat sensor which responds rapidly and securely even at the repeated use, by a method wherein amorphous alloy of specified composition is used as a heat-sensitive magnetic material.

CONSTITUTION: Amorphous metal has composition shown in formula I wherein T is at least one of Fe, Co, X is at least one of P, B, C, Si, values of a, b, z are specified by 0.05≤a≤0.20, 0<b≤0.50, 15≤z≤30. The amorphous metal does not have crystal structure but is in metastable state. Since chracteristics of the amorphous metal vary by heating it at a specified temperature particularly that near the Curie point, the amorphous metal is used as a heat-sensitive magnetic material. In this constitution, permeability and magnetic flux density of the amorphous metal significantly vary at a temperature near the Curie point, and a heat sensor is obtained which responds rapidly and securely in the repeated use.
