PURPOSE: To improve a throw dispersion of cereal, by a method wherein, in a cereal drier, an upper pulley of a bucket belt for lifting and throwing cereal into a dry storing part is constituted such that it can freely pivot in the direction of the dry storing part.

CONSTITUTION: Cereal in a cereal collecting part B is lifted by an elevator 13 and is thrown in a dispersion manner into a storing part 11 through a guide pipe 15, and the cereal is dried by flowing downward small quantities from the storing part 11. Rotary discs 23 controlled by a lever 24 are pivotally mounted to an upper pulley 17 for driving a bucket belt 18 of the elevator 13 and to both sides of the pulley. In case a throwing direction of a bucket is one-sided against the storing part 11 due to a wrong setting of the attaching position of the elevator 13, the direction of the bucket 19 is adjusted through the rotary disc 23, and this permits dispersion of the cereal to be held in a better condition.
