PURPOSE: To obtain a high speed of the device by a simple constitution, by providing a switch, which is changed based on whether the output voltages of two sensors that are provided at the approximately same interval as the interval between two neighboring slits of a body to be checked are different or not, between a power source and a driving device.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of slits 32 and 33 are provided on one side of a plate shaped body to be checked 31 at an approximately constant interval, and a rack 34 is provided on the other side. A pinion 35 is engaged and rotated by a motor 36. Thus the body to be checked 31 is moved in the direction of an arrow. A power source 38 is connected to the motor 36 through a switch 37. Two sensors 39 and 40 are fixed in the vicinity of one side of the body to be checked 31 at the approximately equal interval as that between the slits 32 and 33 by an arm 41. When the output voltages from both sensors 39 and 40 are different, the switch 37 continues the ON state by the output from a comparator 43. Whn the voltages become equal, the output of the comparator 43 is inverted, and the switch 37 is turned OFF.
