Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable the input of information based on stable photoelectric conversion even when the device is used for a long time by a method wherein the titled device is equipped with a means for heating at least the light receiving part of a photoconductivity type photosensor and with a means for controlling the heating means. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 1 to carry out heat treatment is turned ON, a timer starts operation and a relay 3 turns a switch 4 ON. Then a comparator 5 is conducted and compares the output from an amplifier 7 that amplifies the output of a thermistor 6 a means for temperature detection with the conduction voltage. If the voltage from the switch 4 is higher, it feeds a signal to an amplifier 8, conducts a heater 9, and heats the photosensor. Accordingly, the thermistor 6 detects the temperature of the photosensor. If the output from the amplifier 7 is higher, the comparator 5 interrupts the output to be inputted to the amplifier 8. Then the conduction to the heater 9 stops, and the heating of the photosensor is also stopped.
