PURPOSE: To easily manufacture the powder of microscopic crystal hexagonal ferrite substituent by a method wherein a solution, containing each element ion selected in the specified percentage with which the hexagonal cryatel ferrite is constituted, and an alkaline solution of pH 10 or above are mixed, precipitated and calcinated.
CONSTITUTION: A salt-contained aqueous solution, containing at least one or more of ferric salt, barium salt, strontium salt, calcium salt and also containing at least one or more of cobalt, titanium, nickel, copper, zinc, indium, niobium, germanium and zirconium, all of which will be used to control coercive force, and another alkali-contained aqueous solution of pH 10 or above, desirably pH 12W13 are brought into contact and mixed with each other, and a coprecipitated substance is obtained by maintaining said mixed aqueous solution at the temperature range of 50°CW150°C. Then, after the coprecipitated substance has been washed clean and dried up, a heat treatment is performed and a reaction is generated. As a result, a hexagonal ferrite of excellent dispersability and well-ordered particle-size distribution can be manufactured easily.
