PURPOSE: To shorten a moving time of a head in case of copying a picture, by dividing a recording medium into a recording area of an even page of input picture information and a recording area of an odd page, and designating an address to the head.

CONSTITUTION: Whether an output copy number is selected by a copy number selecting means 11 or not is checked, subsequently, a head 19 is moved by an instruction of an address instructing means 17, and input picture information of one page is recorded in an even page area 15 or an odd page area 16 on a recording medium 14. When reproducing it, the head 19 is moved on the medium 14 in accordance with order of an output, picture information of one page is read out, and it is reproduced and printed on the medium 14. In this regard, an address, and an initial instructing signal and a terminal instructing signal of the picture information are recorded, and when recording of an original A has ended, an original B of its back page is recorded.
