Title:
FRICTIONAL VIBRATION DAMPING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5940036
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enlighten the impact at the application of braking by a method wherein a revolving inertial body is constituted so as to be elastically shiftable in response to the impact developed by the application of braking at the start of the application of braking in the device employed in piping system or the like at chemical plant or the like. CONSTITUTION:An inertial body 42 is pushingly energized along the direction of axis line through a bearing 49 by means of a spring member 48 and yet elastically shiftable by a certain distance against the energizing of the spring member 48, when the impact force is applied thereon. When high acceleration vibration occurs, a flexible member 37 rotates itself together with a rotary shaft 17 and the inertial body 42 becomes impossible to follow up the rotation of the flexible member 37, resulting in pushing balls 47 radially outwards and consequently applying the axial force to the flexible member 37 so as to deflect it in order to press a brake shoe 38 against a brake friction surface 41a. At this time, if the impact is large enough, the inertial body 42 shifts itself against the spring member 48, resulting in preventing the brake shoe 38 from being violently stricken against the brake friction surface 41a.
