Abstract:
PURPOSE:To form an anodic oxide film having a desired uniform thickness on the inside of an Al vessel, by placing a cathode in the vessel as an anode in an insulated state, filling the vessel with an electrolytic soln., and carrying out electrolysis. CONSTITUTION:An internal cathode 4 is assembled in the body 2 of an Al or Al alloy vessel, and a cathode bus bar 8 is attached to the top of an insulating spacer 7 to prevent the contact of the body 2 with the cathode 4. The vessel is filled with an electrolytic soln., and by supplying an electric current from an external power source 5, electrolysis is carried out using the body 2 as an anode. Generated Joule heat is eliminated through a heat exchanger 11 so as to keep the temp. of the electrolytic soln. constant. After finishing the electrolysis, the electrolytic soln. is poured into other tank, and the inside of the body 2 is washed and treated to seal pores.
