PURPOSE: To reliably feed printing sheets one by one toward a platen regardless of a quantity of the printing sheet by feeding a topmost sheet toward the platen in a state to press the printing sheet against a delivery roller by means of a press member and stopping press operation through disengagement of a clutch.

CONSTITUTION: A cam 27 is rotated in a direction (p), a press member 29 is pressed and moved toward a delivery roller 23, and a printing sheet ps is pressed against the roller 23. Thus, the topmost sheet ps of a stock part 19 is delivered toward a sheet feed roller 33 through a first sheet pass passage 14 and an introduction port 2b. When, during the feed of the sheet ps, a contact pressure between the sheet ps and the roller 23 exceeds a given value along with press movement of the press member 29, a spring clutch is disengaged, and press by the press member 29 is stopped. Thus, the sheet ps is pressed against the roller 33 with a constant specified contact pressure regardless of the magnitude of a loading amount of the sheets ps in a stock part 19. Along with rotation of the roller 23, one sheet ps is reliably delivered from the stock part 19.
