PURPOSE: To enable a stepless 0W100% capacity adjustment in a simple manner by a method wherein the air having a high pressure exceeding the rated pressure of a pressure regulating valve is supplied into a pressure receiving chamber in a sucking throttle valve and an unloading piston is shifted continuously in normal operation.
CONSTITUTION: A part of air entered a relief pipe 12 flows into the pressure receiving chamber 1g of the sucking throttle valve 1 through a relief orifice 13. As a result, the unloading piston 1d shifts to the left and an unloading valve 1b also shifts to the left to come into close contact with the surface of a valve seat so that the starting of an unloading operation is completed. Next, when the compressor is switched from Y-operation to Δ operation, an automatic air release valve 10 is closed and the air within the pressure receiving chamber 1g of the sucking throttle valve 1 is discharged into the atmosphere through a pipe 11 and the relief pipe 12 so that the unloading valve 1b is opened and the compressor sucks air so as to start its loaded operation. Further, when the compressor is in an crdinianry operation condition, the unloading piston 1a is shifted continuously due to the action of a pressure regulating valve 3 to thereby enable the 0W100% capacity adjustment to be made possible in a simple manner.
