PURPOSE: The titled device for preventing damage of a chamber furnace caused by operation in a displaced state, wherein plural pairs of projectors and receptors are arranged in the vicinity of an inlet and outlet of a pushing plate of a pushing machine, the slant and torsion of the pushing plate is detected by light beam between them.
CONSTITUTION: In facilities of coke oven equipped with the pushing machine 3 having the pusher rod 2 provided with the pushing plate 1 at one end, plural pairs of the opposing projectors 8 and the receptors 9 are arranged in the vicinity of an inlet and outlet of the pushing plate 1 of the pushing machine 3 at the side of the entrance of the oven. The light beam 10 is projected from the plural pairs of the projectors 8 to the receptors 9 given allowable slant and trosion values away from the displacement path of the pushing plate 1, the slant and torsion of the pushing plate 1 is detected by interception of the light beam 10 by the plate 1 when the pushing plate 1 is advanced from the pushing machine 3, and damage of the chamber oven 6 caused by the pushing machine 3 is prevented when the slant and torsion of the plate 1 occurs.
