Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suddenly bring up or down the liquid level inside a bottom-opened container when the liquid level outside the container reaches a prescribed position, by fitting a U-tube, through which the inside of the container communicates with the outside, to the container and providing a means which supplies a liquid-sealing liquid into the U-tube. CONSTITUTION:A pilot valve 419 is installed to one end of a U-tube 412 and the lever 418 of the valve 419 makes swinging motions when a float 411 makes upward and downward motions. The swinging motion of the lever 418 operates the valve 419 and opens and closes a passage 415, resulting in the pressure of a pressure control chamber 413 being increased or decreased. When the pressure of the control chamber 413 is low, a flexible tube 410 swells out and the liquid at an entrance 407 flows out through a discharge tube 416. Therefore, when the liquid level outside a container cylinder 402 becomes higher, the liquid inside the U- tube 412 is blown out and the air inside the container cylinder 402 flows out at a stretch and the liquid level suddenly goes up. When the liquid level outside the container cylinder 402 becomes lower, the liquid level inside the cylinder 402 suddenly goes down by means of a similar action.
