USE: An insecticide and acaricide.

PROCESS: A compound (e.g., O-ethyl S-n-propyl phosphorochloride thioate, etc.) shown by the formula II (X is halogen) is reacted with 4-bromo-3,5-dimethylphenol shown by the formula III in the presence of an acid acceptor such as triethylamine, etc. in a solvent such as diethyl ether, etc. preferably at 5W20°C.
