PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. which has lowered water absorption, improved hydrolysis resistance and electrical characteristics such as dielectric strength, by incorporating a specified amount of polyvinyl chloride powder in a compsn. contg. an isocyanate compd. and an acitve hydrogen-contg. compd.
CONSTITUTION: 5W40wt% (based on the combined amount of components A and B mentioned below) polyvinyl chloride powder is incorporated in a blend of an isocyanate compd. such as 2,4- or 2,6-tolylene diisocyanate or a compsn. (A) contg. the same with an active hydrogen-contg. compd. such as 2,4-toluylenediamine or a compsn. (B) contg. the same to obtan the desired polyurethane compsn. This compsn. is very useful for film waterproofing agents, adhesivies, paints, etc. and has particularly excellent performance as a film waterproofing agent for railway vehicles and a casting material for electrical equipments.
