PURPOSE: To form a sound casting free from casting defect with less released gas, by using a low-foamable resin for a product section of a model and a high- foamable resin for a cast-designed section, and molding them integrally.
CONSTITUTION: A pattern space 3 is defined by abutting a fixed force 1 against a movable force 2. By actuating air cylinders 14, 15, first and second partitions 12, 13 are inserted into forces 1, 2 to separate a product section space 4 and a cast-designed section space 8, and then by releasing a stopper 19, pressurized air is introduced to cause a low-foamable resin 22 to be introduced to fill the product section space 4. Then the partitions 12, 13 are retracted so that the cast- designed section space 8 is caused to be in communication with the product section space 4. Thereafter, a stopper 23 is released and at the same time pressurized air is introduced so that a high-foamable resin 26 may be introduced into the cast-deisgned section space 8. After the completion of the filling, the foamable resin 22, 26 in the raw material feeding pipes 21, 25 are removed. With spraying ports 29 and discharging ports 30 closed, heated steam is introduced into heating-cooling chambers 27. Then cooling water is sprayed into the heating-cooling chambers 27 to cool the forces 1, 2. After the completion of the cooling, the movable force 2 is moved and separated to obtain the pattern 31.
