Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce cost and to increase the quantity of light of a linear imaging system by disposing plural arrays of lenses united with concave lenses and convex lenses into one body, and orienting and disposing equidistantly the optical axes of said lenses perpendicularly to the linear object to be projected.

CONSTITUTION: When a linear object 2 is installed on the concave lens side of a lens 1 for a lens array wherein concave lenses and convex lenses are united to one body, an inverted and reduced real image 3 is projected on the convex lens side and the image brigher by as much as the reduced rate than the object 2 is obtd. If the lens array consisting of lens arrays A, B is formed of a transparent plastic in one body, the production is easy and the lens array of a low cost is obtainable. When a linear object 5 to be projected is installed on the centerline 4 of the lens array consisting of the lens arrays A, B, the image of the object 5 is made into the image of short segments separated alternately by the lenses A, B and the shorter photodetector thereof is required. The cost is thus reduced and the quantity of light of the linear imaging system is increased.
