PURPOSE: To normalize the contact pressure of a wiper blade the connecting section between a vertebra and a blade lever in the neighborhood of the central part in the longitudinal direction of the vertebra is formed such that the relative movement of the blade lever and the vertebra is suppressed.

CONSTITUTION: Two blade levers 11 and 12 are slidably coupled with a vertebra 15 by claws 11A and 12A. The levers 11 and 12 receive the forces produced when the claws 11A and 12A come near the glass face by a torsion spring provided to the hinged part 13. Notches 15A and 15B are formed places near the central part in the longitudinal direction of the vertebra 15, and the claws 14A and 14B of the blade lever 14 are coupled with the notches 15A and 15B. The relative movement in the longitudinal direction of the lever 14 and the vertebra 15 can therefore be suppressed.
