Title:
CHIP CONVEYING CONVEYOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59186818
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To lessen the loss by being carried away and prevent mechanical trouble by providing an eccentric permanent magnet on an endles conveying member in such a way that the magnet moves swingingly by its own weight between an adsorbing and a non-adsorbing positions due to the movement of said conveying member, in a conveyor for conveying chips, etc. from a machine tool.

CONSTITUTION: Chips discharged on a conveying belt 4 from a machine tool and through a coolant are transferred onto an inclined conveying route 3 side. At this time, a permanent magnet 13 in a magnet housing 8 is held in an adsorbing position, and the chips are adsorbed and held by the magnet 13. As the conveying belt 4 reaches the upper end part of a conveyor unit frame 1 and is reversed downward, the magnet housing part 8 is also reversed and the magnet 13 which is eccentrically located turns over by its own weight, takes a non-adsorbing position, and releases chips from adsorption, discharging powdered chips and separating linear or block type chips from a hinge plate 6 and a raking board 7, allowing the chips to fall into a recovery box under the conveyor. Due to this construction, the carried away quantity is reduced and a mechanical trouble can be prevented.
