PURPOSE: To improve a cleaning effect, by making a head cleaning member press-contact with a head drum elastically owing to displacement of fitting part which is fitted into a reel driving shaft.

CONSTITUTION: When a cleaning cassette 1 is loaded to a VTR and a switch of a rewinding mode is turned on, a take-up reel shaft of the VTR side is rotated at a high speed, a fitting member 2 which is fitted into or pressed against said shaft is rotated counter-clockwise, and a lever 8 is displaced counter-clockwise through a lead tape 12. As a result, one end 8a of the lever 8 extrudes a supporting plate 6, a cleaning member 7 is pressed against the circumferential surface of the drum, and the head facing on the same circumferential surface as the drum is cleaned. When reel driving force is gone, the lever 8 is returned to its original state by energizing force of a spring 9.
