Title:
DEFLECTION YORK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60189845
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable correction to be performed without causing any convergence shift by installing magnetic-field-producing means facing metallic parts installed in a color picture tube to produce magnetic fields contradicting magnetic fields produced by eddy currents induced by the metallic parts.

CONSTITUTION: A deflection york 20 is attached to a color receiver 2 in such a manner that an upper permanent magnet 22 faces a metallic member 8 and a lower permanent magnet 23 faces metallic members 9 and 10, so that a correction magnetic field 26 overlaps eddy current magnetic fields 13 and 13' and a correction magnetic field 28 overlaps eddy current magnetic fields 14 and 14'. Therefore the eddy currents 13 and 13' are contradicted by the correction magnetic field 26 and the eddy current magnetic fields 14 and 14' are contradicted by the correction magnetic field 28. As a result, misconvergences 15 and 16 are both corrected and an image with good quality is regenerated on a screen 2b. Accordingly correction can be performed without causing any convergence shift as a side effect.
