Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a conveyor by providing a detector for detecting the conveyor along rails, controlling the magnetic force of an electromagnet unit by the detection signal, and driving and stopping the conveyor, thereby reducing the members mounted on the conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A propulsion magnet 56 of a permanent magnet is mounted on the lower portion of a conveyor 54. Electromagnets 58, 60, 62, 64 provided in a station of ground side are inclined at the prescribed angle with respect to the magnet 56, and driving force or stopping force can be applied to the conveyor 54. Detectors 74, 76, 78, 80 for detecting the conveyor 56 are provided along the rails. The magnetic forces of the electromagnets 58, 60, 62, 64 are controlled by the outputs of the detectors to drive or stop the conveyor 54.
