Title:
IMMOBILIZATION OF GLUCOSE ISOMERASE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5840087
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: Cobalt ion and magnesium ion are added to the coagulation bath to give an immobilized glucose isomerase with stabilized activity for a long period of time.

CONSTITUTION: A water-soluble cobalt compound and a magnesium compound are added to a glucose isomerase aqueous solution of an arbitrary concentration so that the concentration of the cobalt ion becomes 1W70 preferably 5W50, micrograms per 1mg of the protein of glucose isomerase enzyme and magnesium ion, 3W350, preferably 10W100 micrograms. Then, a fibrous or powdery support, preferably having amino groups, is dipped into the resultant immobilization bath and stood one overnight at about 30°C.
