PURPOSE: To prepare a seamless granular material with best efficiency, by gelling liquid droplets each comprising an encapsulating material formed in the air with the vibration of a nozzle by a chemical gelling apparatus.

CONSTITUTION: A sol like encapsulating material (e.g., a sol containing sodium alginate) 42 is supplied to a single nozzle 2 supported in a state movable over a minute distance in the axial direction thereof from a material supply apparatus 12 while the nozzle 2 is vibrated to the axial direction thereof by a vibration apparatus 7. In addition, as a gelling apparatus provided to a position where liquid droplets are fallen from the nozzle 2 and for gelling the liquid droplets, a gelling agent container 48 is provided and a chemical gelling agent (e.g., a 3% calcium chloride solution) 54 is always supplied to the container 48 from a gelling agent storage tank 52 by a pump 50. By this method, a seamless granular material preparing apparatus can be always operated in a most efficient state.
