PURPOSE: To compress the space required to replace tools, by furnishing a replacement arm at an advancing/retracting member on the mount fitted on a rotary shaft between the spindle and the tool shaft in the tool mounting/removing position of magazine body.

CONSTITUTION: Between the spindle 5 and the tool shaft X in the tool mounting/ removing position of magazine body 6, a rotary shaft 12 is installed on the housing 11 and a mount 13 is fixed to this rotary shaft 12 with a bracket 19 interposed. An advancing/retracting member 14 operated by a cylinder 25 is installed on this mount. A replacement arm equipped with tool pinching pawls 15, 16 is mounted on this member 14 with capability of making a half turn and moving in and out in the directions the same as and across the member's advancing and retracting direction. The arm shall pinch a new tool T accommodated by the magazine 6, draw out and transport it to the spindle 5, and further shall turn, pinch the used tool on the spindle 5 with its other pawl 16, draw out and make a half turn.
