PURPOSE: To maintain a desired aberration and to prevent decrease in efficiency of using light in the stage of interfering two coherent light waves with each other and recording a hologram by transmitting the one light wave through an optical element having a deflecting function then interfering the light waves.
CONSTITUTION: The light wave 21 obtd. by transmitting spherical wave light 16 or 20 through a prism 18 is made incident on a recording medium 3 at an incident angle α2, and the light wave 22 obtd. by transmitting plane wave light 17 through a prism 19 is made incident on a recording medium 3 at an incident angle β2 and is interfered with the wave 21 so that a hologram is recorded to the medium 3. The decrease in the efficiency with decrease in the Bragg angle is prevented according to such method, by which a desired aberration is maintained.
