Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a condenser from becoming an overvoltage by providing a detector at the smoothing condenser provided at the output side of a chopper of a chopper control simultaneous commutation inverter and interrupting the thyristor OFF when it becomes the prescribed value or higher. CONSTITUTION:A chopper control simultaneous commutation inverter circuit is composed of a commutation circuit having a chopper 12, a DC switch 14, a commutation reactor 16 and a commutation condenser 18, and an inverter 30. A smoothing condenser 24 is provided at the output side of the chopper 12, the voltage is detected by a detector 40, thereby controlling a thyristor 42 provided at the connecting line of the condenser 24 with a power source 10. Accordingly, when the voltage of the condenser 24 becomes the prescribed value or higher at the light or no load time, the thyristor 42 is interrupted OFF, thereby disconnecting the condenser 24 from the power source to prevent the overvoltage, and the element such as the inverter 30 can be protected.
