PURPOSE: To obtain clean and stabilized combustion by a method wherein in the case of a hot air heater provided with a burner having within its combustion cylinder a flame port formed of a wire netting and a blower, an outer cylinder enclosing the combustion cylinder and defining a hot air passage around the outer periphery thereof is formed of a plate metal and the heat adsorbing efficiency of the inner surface of the outer cylinder is increased.
CONSTITUTION: When the titled hot air heater is used, a fuel is injected from a gas nozzle 2 while combustion air is sucked as primary air through a primary air hole 3 and is introduced into a gas mixture chamber 4 where it is mixed with the fuel. The gas mixture is then injected into a combustion chamber 7 from the flame port 5 formed of the wire netting and is ignited by an ignition plug 14. Then the ignited combustion gas is blown out from a hot air blowout port 13 by the blower 10 through the hot air passage 12 to thereby perform a heating operation. In this case, the outer combustion cylinder 6 is formed of a plate metal and at least the inner surface of the cylinder 6 is roughly finished or metallic powder 22 is injected over the surface so that the heat adsorbing efficiency of the surface is increased.
