PURPOSE: To enable high-speed work by changing the interval between front and rear pressing roll means according to the vibration of a wire rod in winding a tape round a running wire rod to absorb a change in tension of the tape and prevent breakage of the tape.
CONSTITUTION: Pressing roll means 4, 4' are adapted to a absorb a change in tension of tapes 2, 2' by changing the interval therebetween according to vibration of a wire rod 1. In this arrangement, the span of the wire rod pressed by the pressing roll means 4, 4' can be changed in such a manner as to lessen tension of the tapes 2, 2' by adjusting the amplitude and natural frequency of the wire rod 1, so that the tape 2 can be continuously wound round the wire rod without breakage of the tape. Furthermore, the machine can be rotated at high speed fro conducting tape winding so as to improve work efficiency.
