PURPOSE: To provide a spinneret suitable for the spinning of modified cross- section yarn having sharp angles and free from swelling at the central part, by placing a narrow assistant nozzle for extrusion of the stock liquid at the central part surrounded by the divided main nozzles.

CONSTITUTION: The objective spinneret capable of easily spinning a modified cross-section yarn, has the main nozzles 1' having cruciform section wherein each side of the cross is separated from each other at the center, and connected to the stock liquid introducing hole 3, and an assistant nozzle 4 having cruciform section positioned to the central part surrounded by said nozzles 1', wherein said assistant nozzle 4 is connected to each divided nozzle 1' over the whole length. A modified cross-section yarn having cruciform section with sharp angles free from swelling at the central part can be prepared easily by the use of the spinneret even if there are variations in the spinning conditions such as rate of extrusion of the stock liquid, the spinning pressure, the winding speed, etc.
