Title:
THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING INK SHEET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60183196
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance saturated transfer density, by a method wherein an ink layer formed of a mixture of an ink component comprising a dye and a low melting point agent with a filler is provided on an intermediate adhesive layer provided on a base, while specifying the weight ratio of the dye to the ink components other than the dye.

CONSTITUTION: A solution of a polyester resin in acetone is applied to the base 1 consisting of a condenser paper having a thickness of 8μm, followed by drying to provide the intermediate adhesive layer 2 having a thickness of 3μm. A solution obtained by dissolving 4pts.wt. of Kayaset Black as a dye, 1.3pts.wt. of a fatty acid amide as a low melting point agent, 0.7pts.wt. of a paraffin wax as a viscosity-lowering agent and 2.5pts.wt. of carbon black is applied to the layer 2, followed by drying to provide the ink layer 4 having a thickness of 7μm, thereby obtaining the ink sheet. The ink sheet has a weight ratio B of the dye to the ink components other than the dye of 2.0.
