PURPOSE: To prevent incomplete printing caused by rimples produced on belt material by supporting a belt material carrying guide rotatably in the longitudinal direction thereby automatically correcting tension and uneven direction at the winding side.

CONSTITUTION: A carrying guide 21 for belt material R is provided in the vicinity of a winding spool 5 for belt material (thermal transfer paper, for example). Said guide 21 is mounted rollably in the arrow directions A, A' around a rotary shaft 23 and if the left side tension TL is higher than the right side tension TR when winding the belt material R over the spool 5, push-down force PL is applied to the left side of said guide 21 to roll it around the rotary shaft 23 while to push up the right portion and to balance the left and right tensions TL, TR resulting in rimpleless guiding/carrying of belt material R.
