PURPOSE: To perform a good transfer printing using usual transfer foils by a method in which a transfer foil is lapped on a transferring material with a desired pattern of an ultraviolet rays-curable resin, and transfer printing is made on the whole surface.

CONSTITUTION: A pattern of an ultraviolet rays-curable resin (urethane acrylate resin) is printed on a base plate of ABS resin, PS resin or acrylic resin, and ultraviolet rays are made to irradiated onto the resin layer to harden the resin in order to form a transferring material provided with the hardened resin pattern. An usual transfer foil (e.g., one obtained by orderly laminating a releasing layer, a color layer, a metal thin layer and an adhesive layer on a base material) is put on the transferring material and pressed in such a way as to transfer the pattern to the portion deprived of the resin of the surface of the transferring material (in the portion where the resin is present, the resin comes to the surface to become non-transfer portion).
