PURPOSE: To provide an ink jet head capable of being reduced in size, being made to be multiple and producing a thin film with a large area and excellent in mass-producibility, by a method wherein a piezoelectric polymer used as a pressuring element is provided with a bimorph construction.

CONSTITUTION: In an ink jet head for jetting an ink droplet 3 by pressurizing an ink contained in an ink chamber 1, a piezoelectric polymer, e.g., polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), having a bimorph construction is used as a pressurizing element 2. Accordingly, an ink jet head can be provided which can be reduced in size, can be made to be multiple, and has good workability and excellent mass- producibility.
