Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R1 is lower alkyl; R2 is H or benzyl).
EXAMPLE: 4-Isopropylaminomethyl-1,3,2-dioxathiolane 2-oxide.
USE: An intermediate for synthesizing a remedy and preventive for arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, and diseases of coronaria.
PROCESS: For example, a 3-halogeno-1,2-propanediol shown by the formula II(X is halogen) is reacted with a compound shown by the formula III to give a compound shown by the formula IV, which is reacted with a thionyl halide shown by the formula SOY2 (Y is chlorine or bromine) in an inert solvent such as preferably benzene, etc. with stirring to give a compound shown by the formula I .
