Title:
CONSTRUCTION OF CONTINUOUS UNDERGROUND WALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5927023
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To permit the construction of a continuous underground wall in soft ground without causing deformation harmful to the surrounding area by a method in which an appropriate amount of piles are driven in the surrounding area of a continuous underground wall to reinforce the surrounding ground and then the continuous underground wall is constructed.

CONSTITUTION: Where a continuous underground wall is to be constructed, a necessary number of piles 1 are driven into an area to be affected by an adjacent structure 5 or an excavator 6 according to the condition of the ground. The positions of the piles 1 are parallelized with the underground wall 2 and the intervals of the piles 1 are determined by the conditions of the ground and loads on the adjacent structure 5. After the placement of the piles 1, a guide wall 3 and a mat slab 4 are provided and the continuous underground wall 2 is formed by the excavator 6.
