PURPOSE: To obtain a car height adjusting apparatus with a motion damping function and a buffering function, by making a hollow part of damper rods communicative through a damping valve with the inside of leg part cylinders.
CONSTITUTION: In case that the car height of the rear wheel section is lowered to a prescribed value or below, the working oil flowed in head hydraulic chambers 8, 8' flows via the hollow part 9a of the damper rods 9, 9' into the leg part cylinders 10, 10' so that the leg part cylinders 10, 10' are extended relatively to the damper rods 9, 9', accompanying thereto the load on buffering springs 13, 13' is lessened, and rubber resilient bodies 7, 7' are pushed to cause the inner circumferences to be deformed downwardly relatively to the outer circumferences. The working oil flowed into head hydraulic chambers 18, 18' cause the leg part cylinders 23, 23' to extend relatively to the damper rods 22, 22', so that the loads on buffering springs 26, 26' are lessened, and the head cylinders 19, 19' are moved up relatively to the pistons 20, 20'.
