PURPOSE: To visualize a flow having a high flow speed and measure an optional section within a measuring area by spreading a laser beam into a sheet form and intermittently radiating it.
CONSTITUTION: A determined particle is contained in a fluid, and argon laser is radiated in a sheet form. This radiation is intermittently conducted once to the front field of the same frame and twice to six times to the rear field. Then, the scattered light or fluorescent light of this particle is photographed, and the lights outputted from the front field of the front frame and outputted from the rear field are integrated to form the image information of the front field of the front frame on picture recording. The lights outputted from the rear field of the front frame and outputted from the front field of the rear frame are integrated to form the image information of the rear field of the front frame on picture recording, and these informations are picture recorded on a picture recording medium. Two front and rear field informations of the same frame on picture recording are recorded in a frame memory 11 connected to a computer 10, the center of gravity of the particle is calculated by image processing, and the flow trace of the particle is tracked from the calculated center of gravities in two times of the particle.
