PURPOSE: To obtain a color toner applicable to an overhead projector by elevating the melt index of a toner.

CONSTITUTION: A color toner (1) contg. a resin binder and a dye and applicable to vapor phase transfer to a transparency contains a dye especially compatible with the binder resin to obtain a melt flow index of 1.5W20.0, and a ratio of the value of this toner (1) to that of the base material (2) in the case of contg. no dye is regulated to 1.0W10.0. A preferable proportion of the dye to the binder resin is 0.1W20 to 100 by weight. Polystyrene, a styrene-acrylate copolymer, etc. are used for the binder resin, and sublimable dyes subliming at 100W250°C, such as "Kayalon Fast Yellow 4R", "Kayalon Fast Rubin B", etc. are used as the dye.
