PURPOSE: To attain the movie and still pickup, by providing the 1st solid-state pickup element functioning as an element for the movie pickup and a photometric element, and the 2nd solid-stage image pickup element acting like a still pickup element.
CONSTITUTION: A solid-state image pickup element 3 is used as a phtometric element to determine a suitable exposure and to control a shutter speed at the still pickup and the saturation of a photodetection section ≤1/30sec might be caused. In this case, the exposure cannot be determined only from signal charges. When an objective is too bright for the use of a high speed shutter, a signal summing the signal output and an overflow output is given to an exposure control signal generating circuit 6 for the decision of the exposure. Further, the 2nd solid-state image pickup element 5 is the element for still pickup and the operation is more or less different from that of the element 3. That is, the operation is interlocked with a shutter release button.
