Abstract:
PURPOSE:To permit addition of sub-speed-change without applying alteration onto the input shaft of a main speed change gear by spline-fitting a ring gear flange serving as an output member of a sub-speed-change gear onto the input shaft of a main speed change gear. CONSTITUTION:A sleeve 76 on which a spline for fitting with the input shaft 7 of an automatic speed change gear acting as a main speed change gear is installed at the top edge of the ring gear flange 71 of an overdrive apparatus acting as a sub-speed change gear, and said sleeve 76 is freely inserted into a center hole 78 on a separating wall 77, and connected with the output shaft 7 through spline-fitting. With such a constitution, a sub-speed change gear can be added without applying alteration onto the input shaft of the main speed change gear, and the versatility in use of a multistage speed change gear can be improved. Further, discrepancy between each center of the input shaft 7 of the main speed change gear acting as the output shaft of the sub-speed change gear and a ring gear 53 acting as the output member of the sub-speed change gear can be absorbed by the spline.
