PURPOSE: To secure good operability and high yield by cnnecting adjacent side surfaces of end parts of nylon jacket fibers together and sheathing optical fiber wire parts with tubes for arraying.
CONSTITUTION: Nylon jacket fibers 41, 51, 61, and 71 are curved to prescribed radii by thermal shaping and have straight-line parts 44, 45, 54, 55, 64, 65, 74, and 75 at end parts respectively, and optical fiber wires 42, 43, 52, 53, 62, 63,72, and 73 are exposes atop. Side surface parts of thenylon jacket straight-line parts 44 and 55, 74 and 65, 75 and 54, and 45 and 64 are connected mutually. Lastly, the optical fibers 42 and 53, 72 and 63, 52 and 73, and 62 and 43 are sheated with tubes 81W84 for arraying to array those optical fibers easily.Thus manufactured curved optical fiber bundles are assembled thereafter by a conventional method.
