Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the cooling efficiency as well as to simplify the maintenance and inspection of the titled rectifying element by a method wherein two ring-shaped insulating bodies to be used for interinsulation of a metal case and a ring-shaped supporting plate, consisting of an elastic body to support a metal case and a ring-shaped insulating material, are provided. CONSTITUTION:A conductive metal case 3 is arranged on both sides of a rectifying element consisting of a silicon pellet whereon a substrate is adhered. A connection terminal 8 is formed on the case 3. Two ring-shaped insulating bodies 4 are used for interinsulation of the case 3. A ring-shaped supporting plate 11 consists of an elastic material having excellent heat-resisting property and durability, and supports an insulating body 4. An insulating plate 10 consists of a substance of high mechanical strength and low heat-resistance, it is arranged outside the case 3 and supported by the plate 11. A cooling material is arranged on both sides of the rectifying element and they are put together by tightening.
