PURPOSE: To exactly charge continuous paper to the paper feeder of a printer by using a system in which a guide wheel having plural pins on one side of a paper receiving base and a guider having aligned pins on the other side of the paper receiving base are provided in such a way as to enable the guider to freely move toward the aligned direction of pins and also the pins to come in and out on the paper receiving base.

CONSTITUTION: In a paper feeder 1, free rotary wheels 6 and 7 having plural pins are provided below one side of a paper receiving base 2 in such a way as to project the pins from the upside of the paper receiving base 2. Below the other side of the receiving base 2, a guider 12 having aligned plural pins is provided. The guider 12 is supported by a slide mechanism in such a way as to enable it to move freely toward the aligned direction of the pins, and the slide mechanism is supported by a vertically movable mechanism in such a way as to enable the pins of the guider 12 to come in and out on the paper receiving base 2. Therefore, the setting of a continuous paper can be made at fixed position simply by coupling the feeding holes of the continuous paper 5 with the pins of the guide wheels 6 and 7 and the guider 12. The variation in the holding length of a paper gripper and the waving of the paper 5 due to improper grasping position during the feeding period can thus be prevented.
